The Shao Lin Hung Gar Kung Fu Association brought their traditional lion dance to Lonsdale Quay Market February 3, 2011, in celebration of Chinese New Year.
Lonsdale Quay Market hosted family-friendly holiday events throughout December, including the 3rd Annual Gingerbread House Contest, Crafty Christmas Weekends Craft Fair, Gingerbread Cookie Decorating for Kids, a visit from Santa, and all kinds of spirited music performances.
Thanks to everyone who participated in these events, Lonsdale Quay Market raised $1,525.75 for Family Services of the North Shore Christmas Bureau this holiday season.

Lonsdale Quay Market celebrated Canada Day with some true Canadiana, the Radically Hip, the best Tragically Hip tribute in the country. Canada Flags and Canada Temporary Tattoos were everywhere, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.
Kid's Fridays are a big hit! Interactive children's entertainers and activities on the plaza each Friday afternoon. This week, July 3, musician Will Stroet strummed and sang about the environment, safety and more.
Join us weekly throughout the summer for the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation Charity BBQ, happening Friday afternoons from 12pm to 3pm. See what the chefs at Sharky's Artisan Sausages and the Salmon Shop have prepared for this week. The 'Quay Riders' had an amazing adventure in the 2009 Ride to Conquer Cancer. The team rose over $13,000 for the BC Cancer Foundation.
