Earth Hour is a movement which started in 2007 in Sydney, Australia, when more than 2 million homes and businesses switched off their lights for one hour to protest against climate change. Lonsdale Quay Market will celebrate Earth Day on Thursday, April 22, from 11am-3pm, with a reptile display, face painting, and balloon animals in Kid's Alley, as well as eco-friendly retailers and the Nature Trust of BC in the Rotunda.
