Earth Hour is a movement which started in 2007 in Sydney, Australia, when more than 2 million homes and businesses switched off their lights for one hour to protest against climate change. In 2009, the movement had grown to hundreds of millions of people worldwide. Easter activities for kids include: face painting, balloons, Easter eggs, and a visit from the Easter Bunny, who will cut the ribbon to officially open the brand new ballroom in Kid's Alley.

Lonsdale Quay Market will celebrate Earth Day, a movement born in the 1970s to show support for a healthy, sustainable environment, on April 22. The Earth Day event will feature interactive, educational displays for kids.

The Market will host a kid's colouring contest for Mother's Day. Kids can enter their colouring pages to win a special prize for Mom.
